The Cabin Is Mine!

The cabin is alllll mine! Papers are all signed and everything! Wheeeeeeeeeee!

It wasn’t without stress though. On Monday, we found out that the lab didn’t process or keep my water sample. So I’ve not had a water sample. We submitted an amendment that let’s me get the water sample within the next two weeks. Since it isn’t anything that I would cancel the purchase over, we went ahead.

I managed to give notice at the apartment building in time for a Nov 30 move out. So I will use my deposit for Nov’s rent and avoid paying rent and also the mortgage payment in the same month. I’ll be moving out some time in Nov. I’m thinking I should move my vacation a bit earlier so I can move earlier. The basement will be getting done early Nov. I don’t want to be living there by then because of the kitties. The jackhammering and a new place will destroy them. Maybe I try for the 11th instead of the 13th.

Now I’m dealing with the lawyer and the insurance guy. The paperwork doesn’t seem to stop. I need to fill out more paperwork for them both and will have to go to Kingston to sign some things in person for both as well. I think, after that, I only have to make sure I have hydro and internet hooked up at the cabin. I won’t be able to transfer either (excluding the actual move). Oh I need a stove and the locks changed too.

It feels like I need to have a countdown clock until moving day! Found one!!

There are more tasks but that’s a good start. I’m tired and don’t feel like writing any more lists.

I’ve only really been working on the cabin stuff lately and spending a considerable about of time texting a friend. I, 100%, am running my social battery and mental battery down to empty and not fully recharging it right now.

40 days from now, I’ll be in my cabin.
